Answer b. In general, higher insufflation pressure results in improved surgical field visualization and lower pressure results in improved hemodynamics/venous return. Insufflation pressures greater than 15 may result in significant perturbations of physiology (particularly in infants), but 5 or less is unlikely to provide adequate exposure.
