Answer e. There are numerous effective methods to ensure adequate amnesia
and sedation for endoscopy; this list is not conclusive. However, in the absence
of life-threatening GI bleeding with hemodynamic instability, scopolamine (as a
single-agent amnestic) is probably not appropriate.
