Answer

Answer b.

Aorto-pulmonary runoff occurs in the Norwood procedure with MBTS, and is further exacerbated by factors that reduce PVR. The runoff results in a fall in coronary perfusion pressure and places the ventricle at risk of ischemia. Prevention of aortopulmonary runoff is a major benefit of RV to PA conduit creation. The other statements are all correct.
