Answer c. Symptoms associated with GERD can be nonspecific and include irritability, behavioral discomfort, frequent emesis, grimacing, lung disease, failure to thrive and wheezing. Heart disease is unlikely, although right heart dysfunction may develop due to severe lung disease in select patients.
