Answer

Answer e. Diastolic murmurs are more pathological, whilst cyanosis is seen due to a right-to-left shunt. With right-to-left shunts, an IV bolus of medication will bypass the pulmonary vascular bed and act faster at the effector site. Nitric Oxide is a potent pulmonary vasodilator. Anemia, together with young age and dehydration, all act to increase the risk of venous thrombosis.
