==Answer==

The answer is C. Neonates have relatively large heads that are responsible for a large portion of their oxygen consumption and heat production. The brain is responsible for about 40-50% of the neonates total heat production. This is why wrapping the neonate's head in an insulted or plastic bag can reduce the total body heat loss tremendously.<ref>Rowe MI, Weinberg G, Andrews W. Reduction of neonatal heat loss by an insulated head cover. [http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6663422 J Pediatr Surg. 1983 Dec;18(6):909-13.]</ref>
